The data shows that 6.982 million are Jews (73.91% of the total population), 1.995 million are Arabs (21.11% of the total population) and 472 thousand are others - non-Arab Christians, members of other religions and without religious classification (5.01% of the total population).

During 2021, approximately 160,000 people were added to Israel's population, a growth rate of 1.71%. 831% of the increase was due to natural increase, and 171% - from the immigration balance.

During the year, approximately 184,000 babies were born - 73.8% to Jewish mothers, 23.4% to Arab mothers, and 2.8% to others.

The data also shows that during 2021, approximately 25,000 new immigrants and approximately 9,000 other immigrants entered Israel, i.e. immigrant citizens and people who immigrated under the Entry Law.

The main countries from which immigrants came this year were: Russia (30.0%), France (14.6%), the USA (13.9%) and Ukraine (12.4%).

During the first eleven months of 2021 (January-November), 22.7 thousand immigrants arrived in Israel, an increase of 28.81% compared to the same period last year.

During 2021, about 51,000 people died. The number of deaths is relatively high compared to previous years, and even higher than in 2020 (when there were 47,788 deaths) - during which the coronavirus pandemic began.

The death rate relative to the population size increased from 5.1 per 1,000 residents in 2017-2019 to 5.4. According to Ministry of Health data, by mid-November, approximately 4,800 residents had died from the coronavirus.
