Rivka Ravitz, who served as chief of staff to former President Reuven Rivlin, is seeking to run for the position of Knesset Secretary, replacing Yardena Meller-Horowitz, who will soon retire.

In an interview with Galei Tzahal this morning, Ravitz explained why she wants to fill the position of Knesset Secretary: "It's a very important position, the Knesset Secretary essentially manages the core of the parliament. When I was in Rivlin's office as Knesset Speaker, I received the appropriate training.".

In about two months, Knesset Secretary Yardena Meller-Horowitz will end her 12-year term. As a result, the race to fill the important position is heating up.
