The Sofer Hastam and the Mohel of Neve Yaakov died of complications from the coronavirus at the age of 45.

Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: On Shabbat, the Rabbi of the Year passed away at the age of 45. Yosef Chaim Shlomo Meirson The late Chabad follower, a resident of the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in Jerusalem, after contracting the coronavirus.

The late Z"l studied in the 1990s at a Chabad yeshiva that opened at the Marina Roshcha synagogue in Moscow.

After immigrating to the Holy Land, he studied at the 'Mercaz Gutnik' yeshiva, was ordained as a sofer satam, studied the art of circumcision and served as a mohel in the 'Brit Yosef Yitzhak' organization for several years.

About a decade ago, he underwent a kidney transplant in the United States with the help of the Ahavat Chesed organization of the benevolent Rabbi Avraham Lider, z"l.

To the shock of his family and acquaintances, following complications from the coronavirus, he fell ill and died on Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Yavdalhat, his son and his mother, who live in Neve Yaakov.

His funeral was held last night - Saturday, in Jerusalem.
