The political system is responding to the grave disaster that occurred last night (Friday) at the Hilula on Mount Meron - and praying for the recovery of the injured.

President Reuven Rivlin said: "With great anxiety I am following the reports from Meron and praying for the recovery of the injured. Please heal them.".

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "A major disaster on Mount Meron. We are all praying for the recovery of the injured. I ask that we strengthen the rescue forces operating at the scene.".

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid: "I am following with concern, pain, and anxiety the terrible disaster that occurred during the celebration in Meron. All of Israel is now praying for the recovery of the injured. This is a difficult and sad night.".

Interior Minister Aryeh Deri: "My heart is broken by the heavy tragedy at the Meron festival. I pray for the safety of the injured and strengthen the rescue forces working at the scene. Please heal her.".

Naftali Bennett: "An unbearable disaster at Rashbi's grave, the entire Jewish people are united in prayer for the victims.".

Culture Minister Miri Regev: "I am following with deep concern and praying for the safety of those injured in the severe disaster in Meron. My heart goes out to the families of the victims and the rescue and security forces operating at the scene of the disaster at this difficult time.".

Deputy Minister Uri Maklev: "A very difficult event - we were not prepared for such scenarios.".

MK Nir Barkat: "May God heal them. Following with pain and concern the shocking disaster in Meron. The entire people of Israel are praying for the injured.".
