Left-wing MKs yesterday attacked the Noam Party and its representative in the Knesset, Avi Maoz, after they announced that they would demand in the coalition negotiations to form the next government an amendment to the government resolution that guarantees adequate representation for women and their protection from violence.
Noam explains that this is a government decision that, according to them, is hidden from the public and through which Dina Zilber and other elements in the Ministry of Justice have worked in recent years to change the character of the State of Israel.
""Yesterday we revealed to the public that elements like Dina Zilber and other senior officials in the Ministry of Justice are using a government decision that is hidden from the public to change the character of the State of Israel, under the radar. We will work to amend Government Decision No. 2331, which deals with gender equality, so that the gender consideration will have to take into account the professional consideration, and we will return to the IDF the values of victory and combat. The days of Dina Zilber and the officials of the Ministry of Justice running the country are over.".
According to the Noam Party, "This is a government decision that was passed in 2014, and similar to the Human Dignity and Liberty Law, through which the High Court judges carried out the 'constitutional revolution,' Justice Ministry officials are carrying out a revolution in government ministries and the IDF, when under the pretext of gender equality, government institutions are forced to make decisions that are neither relevant nor professional at the expense of the strength of the IDF and the well-being of Israeli citizens.".
