Abbas's people told Israel Hayom after the meeting that there was one meeting by a Gantz representative and another meeting today between the chairman of the National Liberation Front and Gantz, at the request of the chairman of Blue and White.
According to them, Abbas did not initiate the meeting and did not explain his intentions and the NPT's position to Gantz.
Earlier today, the Blue and White chairman, in a post he published on his Facebook account, addressed Yamina Chairman Naftali Bennett and Abbas, saying that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is using them.
""Next week, Netanyahu will go to court. These days, he is trying with all his might to swear in a new government. He promises mountains and hills, the main thing is to remove Blue and White from the transitional government, because he knows that he has no chance of promoting initiatives against the law enforcement system - as long as we are there," Gantz wrote.
He added: "As soon as the government is sworn in, the private mechanism will be abolished, he will violate every commitment he gave them, he will trample on every letter written in the coalition agreement. Why? Because he succeeded in his super mission of removing Blue and White from the government, which will allow him to advance the April plot. No one will be able to stop him.".
Gantz explained: "As soon as a new government is formed, to replace Netanyahu, the Knesset must gather around a candidate who has 61 voters in a constructive vote of no confidence. In other words, the chance that we will succeed in overthrowing Bibi's government after it is formed is zero.".
""At this point, Abbas and Bennett will become hostages of Netanyahu. Either he continues to be prime minister with a coalition that will do whatever he wants, without checks and balances and with immunity, or he will drag us into fifth and sixth elections, with him alone at the helm.".
""I call from here to Bennett and Mansour Abbas – don't give this a hand, don't believe Netanyahu. You also know that Netanyahu is busy with one thing – escaping his trial. That's why he severely damaged the economy and didn't advance a state budget, that's why he didn't appoint a permanent justice minister and state attorney.".
