The Ministry of Health published data this morning (Thursday) showing that 4,298 new cases of the coronavirus were diagnosed in Israel in the past 24 hours, out of 75,836 thousand tests. The rate of positive tests decreased slightly and stood at 5.9 percent on this day.

This is the lowest rate since January 2, when the positive result rate was 5.61%.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, 765,492 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the State of Israel.

The number of deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic stands at 5,673.

The number of active patients stands at 40,810, most of whom are in home isolation and 649 in Corona hotels.

1,202 people are hospitalized this morning. Of those hospitalized, 770 coronavirus patients are in serious condition, 303 are in critical condition, and 249 are on ventilators.

The data indicate a further decrease in the number of patients in serious condition and an improvement in the number of hospitalized patients.

The number of people vaccinated in Israel with the first dose of the vaccine is 4,598,197 people – which is 49,63% of the total population. 3,209,993 Israelis received the second dose of the vaccine (34,65% of the total population). 123 people were vaccinated yesterday.
