Following MK Sharan Haskel's announcement this morning (Wednesday) that she is resigning from the Knesset and leaving the Likud in favor of joining Gideon Sa'ar's party, the person who is supposed to enter the Knesset in her place is next in line on the Likud list - former minister Ayoob Kara.

However, it is not certain that this will happen.
Kara made it clear that by the day after tomorrow he will decide whether to enter the Knesset - "following my dealings with the Gulf countries and the economic peace that is so close to my heart.".
He added: "I would like to thank all the tens of thousands of supporters who have been flooding me with support and love since yesterday to see me back in the legislature. I love you and am proud of you.".
Kara served for nearly 20 years, almost continuously, as a Likud member of Knesset. From 2017 to 2019, he served as Minister of Communications.
