Firefighters extricated from vehicle: A 30-year-old man from Betar Elite was seriously injured, father and son slightly injured

A 30-year-old male driver from the city of Beitar Illit was seriously injured, and two others were slightly injured - a father and his son - as a result of an accident between two vehicles that occurred this evening (Wednesday) on Highway 386 near the entrance junction to the settlement of Mata.

Rescue forces called to the scene provided initial medical treatment to the wounded and evacuated them to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

Leiby Klein and Shimon Steinberg, paramedics at United Hatzalah, said: "This is an accident involving two vehicles. We provided first aid at the scene of the accident to the driver of the vehicle, who was seriously injured and was rescued from his vehicle by fire crews. We also provided first aid at the scene of the accident to two people who were slightly injured.".

The police said: A short time ago, a car accident occurred between 2 vehicles on Highway 375 near the orchard. 3 injured people were evacuated from the scene. The road was blocked to traffic in both directions due to police handling the accident. An investigation has been opened.
