Concern and prayers in the world of Hasidism: The Rebbe of Kozmir collapsed last night (Tuesday) while performing the 'Tanz Mitzvah' at his granddaughter's wedding, which was held in the halls of the 'Hechlei Malchut' in Bnei Brak.
After resuscitation, he was taken to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, with a pulse, and his condition is described as serious.
According to testimonies from the scene, the Rebbe of Schatz-Wisnitz's gabbai, who serves as a coordinator for the United Hatzalah, began CPR on the spot, and after advanced CPR performed by rescue workers, his pulse and breathing returned - and he was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Adir Meto, a paramedic at United Hatzalah, said: "When we arrived at the scene, we were told that the bride's grandfather had lost consciousness, while celebrating a bar mitzvah dance. I performed CPR on him, administering an electric shock from a United Hatzalah defibrillator. After miraculously regaining his pulse and breathing, he was taken to the hospital, where his condition is currently described as serious and stable.".
Prayer name: Rabbi Pinchas Moshe ben Rachel Bayla for complete recovery.
The Rebbe of Kozmir is the son of the Rebbe of the 'Nachalat Dan' of Modzic, zt"l. On the 20th of Sivan 5766, after the passing of his father, he was appointed to serve as the Hasidic rabbi of Modzic - and in the month of Av of that year he was crowned as the Rebbe of Kozmir, with his brother, the Rebbe Rabbi Chaim Shaul of Modzic, participating in the coronation.
Since he began serving as Rebbe, he began composing melodies, especially for the High Holy Days, in the tradition of the Modzic and Kozmir Hasidim.
The Rebbe lives in Bnei Brak, near the Hasidic center on Rashi Street.
