Under the headline "Supports Gantz and awaits his son's enlistment: Meet the Rebbe of Berdichev," an embarrassing article aired last night (Sunday) on Channel 13 about a lovable Jew named Aharon Boymel, who calls himself 'the Rebbe of Berdichev.'.
In the article, Boymel, who craves attention, is seen jumping on trampolines and dancing with teddy bears.
The one who responded to the broadcast was journalist Yitzhak Nachshoni, who tweeted on his Twitter account: "The article about the 'Rebbe of Berdichev' is a disgrace to the channel that broadcast it. Give me keys to closed departments and I'll pull out much more colorful characters for you, not just a 'Rebbe' dancing bears, but the Messiah himself riding a donkey, and even how many of them are there, who is the prime minister... If he is a Rebbe, then the people who prepared this article are journalists.".
'The 'Rebbe', who of course maintains a Twitter account, responded: "Yitzhak, my dear friend, they don't say about you either that your old age shames your youth...""
Nachshoni replied to him: "Go jump (not just for me) on a trampoline. Isn't that a custom in Berdichev on this Hanukkah?""
''The Rebbe': "Breshet 13 apologizes for not reaching the level of journalism you demand with some quality journalistic story about a terrorist I neutralized. Don't worry, Yona Lebel has his place and I won't take anything away from him. Rest easy.".
And deputy editor of the family, Aryeh Erlich, responded: "I am ready to go along with any pressure from any good Jew who has harmed no one and is just fooling around and doing a little 'freilach' in order to brand himself as a curiosity and gain exposure. This is a legitimate desire, I have nothing against it. Only in a nutshell, let the pure memory of the holy of holies Rabbi Levi Yitzhak of Berdichev rest in peace. Don't put this clowning on him.".
