Labor Party Chairman MK Eitan Cabel mocked Deputy Defense Minister MK Danny Danon on his Facebook page today (Sunday).
MK Cabel said that Tamir, "My new spokesperson is really driving me crazy to post at least one post a day.
"I must say that it's not always a simple task... and sometimes I find myself scrolling through Facebook looking for triggers for ideas," he revealed.
Yesterday, while surfing the web, a status with nearly 20,000 likes and thousands of comments jumped out at me. At first, the identity of the mysterious Facebook idol was impossible to discern, and inside I was filled with envy. Who is this amazing person, this spiritual giant, for whom the web is dirt at his feet and whose followers are rushing to spread his Torah teachings at the pace of a virtual virus?
When I entered the status, the mystery was solved: the new messiah is our Deputy Defense Minister, Danny Danon. Inside his page, I discovered a wonderful world: in this status, Danny is destroying Hamas, in another status, he is building the Land of Israel, and in another post, he explains to his thousands of believers how he will bring peace and tranquility to our country.
In the virtual world, Super-Dani solves all of the country's problems with the touch of a keyboard.
But wait a minute, I think to myself, what's going on here? Isn't Danny, in the real world, the deputy to Defense Minister Bogy Ya'alon? So why the hell is he telling us on Facebook what to do? Why are he and his cabinet colleagues so strong in the virtual world, and so weak in the real world? Why don't they just do it? Don't they always promise us that if we just let them, they'll know what to do?
For God's sake, this bunch of barbarians has been in power for so many years, and their only achievement is their amazing ability to mislead the public with grandiloquence and bombastic statements. Beyond that, all the real problems, in the world outside of Facebook, are still with us...
"Super-Dani, Super-Boogie, Super-Bibi: If only you were as strong in the real world as you are on Facebook.".
