If we needed proof that in the near future, non-human entities will be moving around in public spaces, the company Boston Demix, which manufactures robots for Google, appeared and introduced its new robot – Atlas, which raises the question: What is the limit of human development and imagination?
Atlas is a robot that walks upright on two legs, is 175 cm tall, and is capable of lifting dozens of kilograms with a wave of the hand.
Atlas can overcome obstacles like rocks and snow, and even when he is pushed and tripped (and falls flat on his stomach), he recovers, gets back up, and returns to his tasks.
Boston Dynamics explains that Atlas has highly developed sensors that help it navigate in space, maintain balance and equilibrium. According to the company, it is the most sophisticated and advanced robot available today, both in the civilian and military markets.
