At the beginning of last month, a new member was added to the Netanyahu family: Kaya - a ten-year-old dog who found a warm home in the prime minister's residence.
Yesterday, Netanyahu posted a post on Facebook starring her, in which she appeared happy in his company - and he in hers.
Netanyahu wrote in the post: "How much light Kaya brought to our home. I also call on you, anyone who wants to adopt a dog or a bitch, to rescue the older dogs and bring them to your home." The post swept the netizens and reached about 40 thousand likes and more than 4,500 shares in less than a day.

The post managed to make even Netanyahu's opponents applaud.
Eldad Yaniv wrote in the comments: "I finally have a reason to like you," and he also received hundreds of likes.
Photographer Israel Bardugo, a well-known fan of the prime minister, wrote: "You are amazing! But why a foreign name for a dog? Are there no names in the Hebrew language? What's wrong with, say, the name Zehava?""
