Who will receive a car worth $80,000 intended for a family with a disabled child?
Every year, a charity organization in the United States donates a car to a family with disabled children. However, the decision on which family receives the car is made by the public - who are asked to vote.
Among the families competing for this year's vehicle is the Hertzfeld family - a family from New Jersey, raising four disabled children.
To receive the vehicle, the Herzfeld family needs to receive the most votes by June 1st - Monday, the day of the Behalotach incident.
Currently, the Herzfeld family has an advantage of about 5,000 votes over the next family, with the Herzfeld family currently receiving about 4,000 votes per day, while the second family is receiving about 3,000 votes per day.
But now, because of Shabbat and Shavuot - together three days abroad - without Jewish votes, the Herzfeld family fears losing their advantage.
Because of this, they launched a major campaign, in which they ask: Vote for us as many people as possible by the holiday, thereby increasing the gap by more than 10,000 votes - an advantage that the other family will not be able to overcome in three days.
They are also asking Israeli residents who can vote this coming Monday - a holiday abroad - to do so, thereby increasing the number of voters per day.
