We finally started hearing about Netanyahu.

A prime minister doesn't have to succeed. He has to try. He has to be mature enough to represent us, he has to know that there are red lines in his elementary behavior • and he may also have to eventually come to the understanding that without faith and without roots, you don't get anywhere.

In my previous column, I ridiculed and ridiculed the Prime Minister's videos. I felt that he, in his role as the main actor in the play, was going downhill and losing the good points that still remained woven into his crown.

As we begin a new week, I asked myself: What about this time? What will we see this week? Or rather: What role will the Prime Minister play in the new film? Yes, whether you noticed or not, every Saturday night an election video pops up and emerges into the world.

In the meantime, until the new video surfaced, I continued to listen to everyone whispering around me, and I realized that many of those who thought it would change and not lead to the election of Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister this time, claim that it would lead to his election.

Not because they think he's good, that his videos are exciting, that his acting is appealing and uplifting, but for one reason: there's no one else around. There's no substitute.

And because there is no substitute, and because all the inhabitants of the country have learned to vote and influence - most of them, according to the polls, are still pointing their way towards Bibi.

One of the new videos - restored our Prime Minister's dignity.

In the video, we see Benjamin Netanyahu standing as prime minister for all intents and purposes, speaking to people at eye level. He tells how his relatives came to the fore, not before ordering us to shed our blood for this country.

He stands before us and speaks as a person to a person. Without acting, without show; without pretense and without deceit. Like this. From heart to heart. Moving from period to period in a matter-of-fact manner, and it was interesting, different and witty.

What's wrong with your friend, I don't care.

Unfortunately, in election campaigns, parties forget who they are and what they want. Perhaps they don't trust themselves and their films to be able to restore their lost respect.

That's why they start criticizing, grumbling, drilling and erasing the other parties. I don't think that the work of thinking that negates, shatters and kills works on anyone. What's important for us to know is: What's in you? Not: What's not in your friend?

In the latest video, we finally started hearing about Netanyahu: who he is, where he comes from, where he is going, and what he wants from himself and from us.

Do we believe in things? Have we managed to get excited about them? Not at all sure.

In today's situation (where, as the security situation in the world deteriorates, so too does the behavior of leaders, to the point that we have difficulty believing them even when they speak the truth) - we're not sure we're excited, but we've finally seen someone who is going in the right direction, someone mature who says things that matter and isn't drawn to public stupidity.

Such a person may not promise us the promise we believe in. Perhaps in the end, he will not bring us the peace we seek, but at least he will not despise us with a lack of understanding.

A prime minister doesn't have to succeed, he has to try. He has to be mature enough to represent us. He has to know that there are red lines in his elementary behavior, and he may also have to eventually come to the understanding, which he reached in the last words of the emotional video, that without faith and without roots, you don't get anywhere.

And why are these things important to us?

Perhaps so that the creators of the Haredi campaigns will be able to understand something that might pave the way for them to our hearts.

We, the common people, are not looking for you, the leaders, to be actors, owners of yachts and money, geniuses or super-successful people. These are passing episodes. We are looking for people who understand, who will know how to lead our requests forward, who will be able to open your eyes and see our troubles, who will know how to navigate your path for us and who will remember with every step you take that even if the journey of values - including your relations with other Haredi parties - is heavy and tiring for you, it is a burden that you must carry on your shoulders.

Because that's what you were meant for.
