This morning (Thursday), while driving on Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem, MK Nissim Zeev stopped his vehicle at a crosswalk to allow safe passage for pedestrians crossing the road.

However, a driver - who, according to the Shas MK - was driving behind him at high speed, tried to overtake his vehicle on the right and continue driving, even though the pedestrians had already begun to cross the road.

The MK, who noticed the danger, signaled to the right and tried to slightly block the driver with his vehicle, to indicate to him that people were crossing at the crosswalk.

The driver, like any ordinary Israeli, got angry - and in response, got out of his car, approached the MK's car, opened the door next to the driver, and began cursing, shouting, and even spitting at the MK's son, who was sitting in the seat next to the driver.

MK Nissim Ze'ev told a Haredim10 reporter about what happened: "I don't know where this guy came from. This road is a very dangerous road, and I think if I hadn't signaled him to stop, he would have probably run over the pedestrian with her stroller. Instead of saying thank you for signaling him, he just started shouting, cursing and spitting - and ran away.".

""I drove after him to arrest him and called the police to the scene. In the end, we didn't file a complaint, I was satisfied with him being detained at the scene by the police, and warned to drive carefully.".

""In the coming days, I intend to address the issue of the dangerous crosswalk on this street - near the Sadigora Hasidic synagogue - perhaps by installing a speed bump.".
