The terrorist, an Arab-Israeli from Taiba, was eliminated by security forces in Tzur Yitzhak, and a weapon was seized in his vehicle.

The Shin Bet and the police raided the home of the terrorist - Omar Yassin, a resident of Taiba, 21 years old. The terrorist is not known to the security establishment, but according to a security source, he has a criminal record.

At the same time, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir conducted a situation assessment and ordered the army to impose a cordon on several villages in the area where the attack occurred.

The shooting spree began at a gas station in Kochav Yair, where two men were seriously and moderately injured. Later, a moderately injured man was found at the entrance to Tzur Yitzhak. Two wounded men, one of whom was in critical condition, were later found on Highway 5533 near Tzur Natan. One of them was later pronounced dead, and the condition of the other wounded man is described as serious.

The terrorist also fired at the Moshav Salait police station, but there were no casualties in this incident. The Moshav's police chief opened fire on the terrorist, but he managed to escape.

In the settlement of Tzur Yitzhak, an alert was sounded for fear of terrorist infiltration, and residents were called to lock themselves in their homes.

Large police forces from the Central District, including police from Tira Station, arrived at the various scenes and worked to collect evidence along with searching for suspects. IDF forces and the Shin Bet's "Tequila" team were also dispatched to the scene.

MDA paramedic Lior Zilberberg said: MDA paramedic Lior Zilberberg said: "We were in a large exercise in a nearby town when we received reports at the MDA 101 hotline about gunshot wounds at several scenes near us. We immediately stopped the exercise and left with intensive care vehicles and ambulances to the gas station in Kochav Yair, to Tzur Yitzhak and to Tzur Natan.

""At the gas station, MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment to 2 injured people who were evacuated to the hospital in serious and moderate condition. At the entrance to Tzur Yitzhak, we saw 2 injured people, a 30-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to his hand and a 61-year-old woman who was in the vehicle and was wounded by gunfire in her upper body. We provided medical treatment to both of them and they were evacuated to the hospital in an MDA intensive care unit in moderate condition.".

I continued driving towards Tzur Natan where we reported active shooting. During the drive, civilians signaled me to stop and called me to provide medical treatment to a wounded man who was unconscious inside a vehicle. He was pulseless and not breathing with gunshot wounds to his body, and after medical examinations we were forced to declare him dead. Another wounded man was lying next to the vehicle, conscious and suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. After initial medical treatment in the field, he was taken to the hospital in an intensive care vehicle in moderate-serious condition.".

Dr. Erez Karp, deputy director of Beilinson Hospital, updated on the condition of the injured who arrived at the medical center. "Two injured people from the attack in the Kochav Yair area arrived at Beilinson Hospital in a moderately conscious condition. Both suffered gunshot wounds to the limbs and chest. They are being treated in the emergency department and will later be transferred to the operating room.".

The two seriously injured men arrived at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in critical condition and were taken to operating rooms. They are suffering from gunshot wounds to their limbs and upper body.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is assessing the situation and monitoring the deadly shooting attack on the Seam Line.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir responded: "If the terrorist is captured alive, he will be executed. This is the law and we will demand its implementation.".

""This is precisely why Otzma Yehudit enacted the 'death penalty for terrorists' law. Jewish blood is not in vain. Whoever murders a Jew will see the hanging rope.".

Later, the minister arrived at the scene of the attack, where he said that if the terrorist had not been shot to death, he would have demanded the death penalty. "We want a terrorist killed on the spot," he explained. Regarding the terrorist being an Israeli citizen, Ben Gvir said: "There is a group among Israeli Arabs that hates the country, and we need to get into it.".

According to the minister, the person murdered in the attack was "an Israeli hero who fell in the line of duty.".

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded: "Under our very noses, a dangerous and extremist terrorist network is growing that wants to eliminate the State of Israel.".

He said, "This morning's heinous attack in the heart of Sharon is a bloody wake-up call to the profound change that needs to happen among Israeli Arabs.".

Smotrich added: "Hundreds of thousands of illegal weapons, including anti-tank missiles, MAG machine guns and explosive devices, alongside rampant crime and nationalist extremism, are an existential danger. Whoever accepts the sovereignty of the state will live here in peace. Whoever chooses the path of terrorism - his blood is on his head.".
