Judge Dafna Barak-Erez wrote in her decision that the government did not present a legal foundation for this policy. She claims that there is no legal basis for the decision that was made.

The Vice President, Justice Noam Solberg, added that the ban should be overturned due to the fact that the state did not present any legal basis for the decisions made.

Judge Yitzhak Amit agreed with the other two judges.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reacted angrily. "A shameful decision by detached judges, who sit in the ivory tower and continue to worry about terrorists while Israeli citizens pay the price of terrorism. Every decision like this reminds us anew why the judicial system needs profound change. Reform now.".
