IDF forces in the Southern Command killed Baha' Barud, a commander in the operations headquarters of the Hamas terrorist organization, during Saturday's raid.
Throughout the war, and in particular in the recent period, Barod worked to plan and promote numerous terrorist plots by the Hamas terrorist organization against IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip and citizens of the State of Israel in the immediate future.
Barod posed an immediate threat to IDF forces and was eliminated in a precise air strike.

Prior to the attack, steps were taken to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision weapons and aerial surveillance.
