As part of a US Embassy initiative to make the service accessible to the public, Beitar Illit was chosen, thanks to the effective cooperation with the Public Service Bureau by the Prime Minister's Office, to be the first Haredi city - and one of the first cities in Israel - in which the embassy opened a service branch.
Hundreds of residents, US citizens and second-generation US citizens, who registered in advance on the municipality's website and with the embassy's assistants, received quick and efficient service at eight embassy service stations.
Rabbi Meir Rubinstein arrived to tour the site and met with the Consul General, Mr. Mark Marano, who happily informed him of the success of the project.
The two discussed continuing to provide the service and holding additional public reception times in our city, for the benefit of the residents.
