
Since yesterday afternoon - the eve of Lag BaOmer, firefighters from the Judea and Samaria district have been operating with reinforced forces and in a wide deployment throughout the district - Samaria, Benjamin and Judea.
Over the past 24 hours, teams have handled 230 incidents in open areas that broke out as a result of the fires.
The majority of the events were concentrated in the cities of Modi'in Illit - Binyamin District, and Beitar Illit - Yehuda District.
Firefighters, with the assistance of many volunteers, worked throughout the evening and night to extinguish the fires at the various events, and to secure the lighting events, including those of the Rebbe of the History of Abraham Yitzhak in Beitar Illit, at Rabbi Zamir Cohen's, and the central lighting in the town of Tapuach in Samaria.
The district administration operated in a reinforced format, managing the flow of events and providing a quick and professional response to every call.
The activity was carried out in close cooperation with the Israel Police's Shi'a District and local authorities, with an emphasis on maintaining public peace and safety.
Even in the morning hours (Tuesday), firefighters continue to conduct proactive patrols and maintain a high level of readiness and alertness for any scenario.

The close cooperation with the Israel Police and local authorities was a critical component that allowed us to control the various hotspots and maintain the safety of residents.".
"We continue to maintain high alertness and operational readiness in the field in the coming hours. I remind you that the Commissioner's order prohibiting the lighting of fires in open areas is in effect until June 30th, and the order must be obeyed.".
