Hundreds of police officers, Border Guard soldiers, and traffic police officers are coordinating an operational effort to evacuate hundreds of people who arrived on Mount Meron in violation of instructions.
The forces are working resolutely to prevent attempts to infiltrate the compound, while preventing the arrival of hundreds of buses and private vehicles that were traveling in violation of the instructions.
The police clarify that given the security situation and Home Front Command guidelines, staying in the mountain area without a permit poses a danger to the public. "The operational effort is intended first and foremost to protect the safety of citizens," the police say.
The Israel Police are calling on the public to show responsibility, to celebrate the Rashbi's revelry safely in their homes and within their communities, and not to reach the checkpoints.
The forces will remain deployed on the traffic routes throughout the coming days, and entry will only be allowed to authorized persons.
