Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Housing Minister Haim Katz, and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich decided to adopt the decision of the professional search committee and signed the appointment of Yehuda Eliyahu, who currently serves as head of the Settlement Administration, as the new director of the Israel Land Authority.
Yehuda Eliyahu, head of the Settlement Administration in Judea and Samaria of the Ministry of Defense, has been appointed the new director of the Israel Lands Authority.
The appointment was made with the support of a professional search committee and with an expected minority opinion from Housing Ministry spokesperson Efrat Procaccia.
Commentator Amit Segal responded: "Unlike the Mossad head affair, it is doubtful whether the Attorney General will choose to lead this battle as well.".
