This morning (Monday), Cohen published an apology post to her on social media, which suggests a move that is preparing the stage for his return.
Cohen Eliya wrote: "During the events of the past week, things were said that hurt Channel 14, its people, and its viewers. I apologize for that and retract them. It is clear to me the tremendous importance of the channel in general and the 'Patriots' program in particular to the change in consciousness that is taking place here and the power they give to the people of Israel. Also, I accept the channel's rules regarding fundraising.".
Last week, Channel 14 published an unusual announcement in which it revealed that the reason for Prof. Moshe Cohen's departure was due to "using the channel to raise funds.".
The statement reads: "For about three years, Prof. Moshe Cohen-Elia has been received by the channel's staff with love and goodwill and given a platform to voice his opinions completely freely. After Cohen-Elia began using the channel to raise funds, it was made clear to him that this was against the rules - and he decided to leave. We wish him success in the future.".
A few days earlier, Prof. Cohen announced to Elia that he would stop appearing on the channel. He said the decision was made following a disagreement with the channel's management over the appeal to President Trump to impose sanctions on senior officials in the Israeli judicial system.
