The Ariel Municipality is preparing for the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Amirim" neighborhood, the first neighborhood to be built in West Ariel. This is a strategic event that symbolizes the expansion of the capital of Samaria to the west - the "exit from the walls" of the city, and paving the way for the construction of approximately 12,000 additional housing units within the framework of the roof agreements.
The neighborhood, which covers an area of approximately 405 dunams, will offer a diverse residential mix that includes two-family homes, low-rise construction, and 4-story buildings. Alongside the residences, public institutions, commercial spaces, and a modern sports center ("country") will be built. In terms of security, the neighborhood will be fortified with the most advanced technologies, including inductive fencing and an array of radars and cameras.
Ariel Mayor Yair Shtavun said: "I am excited to announce a historic breakthrough for Ariel West. This is a practical and huge step on the path to establishing sovereignty in Samaria and strengthening Ariel as a central metropolitan city in Israel. We are building quality of life, security and a future here for future generations.""
