The highest average daily spending on physical purchases in the businesses themselves was recorded in August 2025 - with a figure of 701.192 million NIS.

The day when the Israeli economy recorded its highest spending was Sunday, September 21, 2025, the day before Rosh Hashanah 5775, during which the Israeli public spent an amount of 2.897 billion NIS.

The minute in which the public spent the most was recorded on December 30, 2025 at 3:45 PM - with a figure of more than 21.98 million NIS. This is a period during which significant transfers of funds are recorded to institutional bodies towards the end of the calendar year.

The peak in spending at food chains was recorded on Monday, March 30, 2026, two days before the Seder night - with a figure of 378.165 million NIS.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, a record was recorded in public spending at gas stations with a figure of NIS 93.047 million. This is a high amount, since on April 1, fuel prices increased by more than NIS 1 per liter.

Tali Hollenberg, VP of Marketing, Business Development, and Sales at Sheba: "The peaks in activity and spending on debit cards are usually centered around three periods during the year - towards Rosh Hashanah, towards Passover, and during the shopping sale month in November. During these periods, we see that the Israeli public increases private consumption as part of the holiday preparations or takes advantage of the discounts to make purchases of various products that are on sale.".
