A fire broke out this evening (Saturday night) at a nursing home on Raziel Street in Ramat Gan. Two residents were slightly injured from smoke inhalation and were evacuated for medical treatment.
Fire and Rescue reported that upon arrival at the scene, firefighters detected heavy smoke rising from the first floor of a three-story building. The crews immediately began operations to identify the exact source of the fire, while simultaneously conducting scans to locate possible trapped people and working to quickly evacuate all residents to safety.
During the search operations, two residents who suffered from smoke inhalation were rescued. They were evacuated by medical personnel to receive further treatment at a hospital, where their condition is described as mild.
Firefighters continue to operate at the scene in order to fully control the incident and ensure that there is no further danger to the residents or the building.
