A 17-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man were seriously injured this evening (Thursday) in the Karmiel area during the latest barrage to the north.
The young man is a motorcyclist, a courier for the Volt company, who did not have time to reach a protected area.
The medical teams called to the scene found the young man suffering from severe penetrating injuries from shrapnel, concentrated in the head area and one of his legs.
MDA paramedic Maor Barko said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a man about 25 years old lying on the floor, unconscious and suffering from serious injuries to his body after being injured by interception fragments. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in serious condition.".
Half an hour later, a 40-year-old man was injured by a missile in Nahariya. He was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
In total, over 20 launches were detected towards Nahariya and Karmiel in the last barrage, while at the same time a number of unmanned aerial vehicles were launched, some of which were intercepted.
Fire and rescue services reported vehicle fires as a result of falls in Nahariya. Fire and rescue teams are working in the area.
""As a result of the force of the blast, several windows in nearby buildings were damaged and three vehicles were hit by shrapnel and began to burn.".
"Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire that broke out in the vehicles and disconnected energy sources to prevent further dangers," the Fire Department said.
At the same time, fire crews are conducting scans of nearby buildings to rule out the presence of additional casualties and additional sources of fire.
""We call on the public to obey the Home Front Command's instructions and stay away from areas of collapse to allow security and rescue forces to do their job.".
The IDF announced that its forces were attacking the launchers from which Hezbollah launched rockets toward the north.
