Argentine President Javier Milay will receive the "Presidential Decoration" from President Isaac Herzog during a festive ceremony to be held on the upcoming Independence Day.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom Advisory Committee approved the nomination in recognition of Milley's steadfast stand by Israel in the international arena and his deep commitment to strengthening ties between the countries.
The decoration, considered the highest civilian award bestowed by the President of the State, will be awarded to Milley alongside other individuals who have made a unique contribution to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
The President's Medal is awarded to those who have made an exceptional contribution to the State of Israel or to humanity. The official ceremony will take place at the President's Residence.
