The National Infrastructure Committee approved the Ministry of Transportation's plan to evacuate operations from the existing central bus station and relocate them to a temporary complex at the Holon Junction.
The new facility will be built on an area of approximately 30 dunams and will serve as an interim solution until the permanent "South Gate Terminal" is established in the Ben Zvi complex. The future center is expected to become a major transportation artery that combines under one roof: Israel Railways, the metro network, the light rail, metro lines and a huge bus terminal that will serve dozens of municipalities across the country.
