Hadas Greenberg, the crime reporter for 'Kan News', published a post today (Sunday) on her X network account alongside a video of a man playing with a cluster bomb that fell in Bnei Brak.
Alongside the video, Greenberg wrote: "Meanwhile, somewhere in Bnei Brak they are playing with a bombshell. In the end, they will really die and not enlist.".
However, it later turned out that Greenberg's statement was incorrect.
According to the police statement, the person recorded in the video is not an ultra-Orthodox or a resident of Bnei Brak - but rather a resident of Tira.
The police statement said: "Tel Aviv District 100 dispatchers received a report about a suspect who collected a cluster bomb for his car in the city of Bnei Brak during the rockets and left the scene in his car. Tel Aviv District Control Center dispatchers were able to trace the suspect's license plate number and notified the police officers at Tira Station in the Central District, who immediately began searches and investigative operations, including the use of technological means, upon receiving the report, which led to the suspect's location and detention.".
""Israel Police bomb squads arrived at the scene, handled the cluster bomb that was found and conducted thorough searches of the area, ensuring that there was no further danger to the public.".
Despite the police announcement and clarification of the details, the post Greenberg published still appears on the X network, and she has not issued an apology.
