Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Home Front Command Commander Major General Shai Klapper recommended banning classes next week in the central region, Jerusalem, and most localities in the country.

According to a report in Kan News, at the beginning of next week, physical studies will be allowed in Samaria, the Waqf, the Beit Shean Waqf, the Arava excluding Eilat, the southern Negev, the western Lachish, the Gaza Envelope, and other nearby communities.

The remaining localities in the country will continue to hold classes in a distance learning format.

The Minister of Education asked the Home Front Command to advance the publication of the defense map so that authorities that are designated "yellow" can prepare to hold classes in schools.

The map has not yet been published, but may be published soon.

A status assessment on the matter is expected to take place only on Saturday evening.
