In anticipation of the holiday of redemption of the old Rebbe, author of the Tanya and the Shulchan Aruch - singer Levi Farkash launches a moving and special performance of the well-known Chabad tune "Peda B'Shalom".

According to the story, when the elderly Rebbe was told of his redemption from imprisonment in Russia, he was in the midst of reciting the verse “Peda beshalom nafisi” (Psalms 55:19). Following this, the Hasidic community composed a melody to these words, and since then the melody has been sung throughout the Hasidic world on the 19th of Kislev – a day of light, joy, and redemption.

The melody itself opens with a calm and deep movement, filled with an emotion of gratitude to God for the great miracle. Towards the end, with the words “And I will trust in you,” the melody rises powerfully into a movement of joy and real dancing.

In the clip, we also incorporated a message for today - how in every situation we should always trust in God.
