Towards a revolution in Israeli television? Channel 14's newscast, hosted by Maggie Tabibi, has surpassed the number of viewers of Channel 12's edition.
According to official data published this morning (Friday) by the Ratings Committee, the number of viewers yesterday for the Channel 12 edition was 251,000 with a 10.2%, while the number of viewers for the Channel 14 edition was 267,000 with an 8.5%.
News 12 achieved first place with 10.2% (251 thousand viewers), but Channel 14's newscast, which achieved 8.5%, was watched by more people (268 thousand viewers).

This is a real drama, as in just two years Channel 14 has managed to establish its position as the second most watched channel in Israel, and now it is overtaking one of Channel 12's flagship programs for the first time.
This trend has been going on for some time, with only in recent days programs broadcast on Channel 14 having managed to overtake programs on parallel slots on all other channels, led by Channel 12, time and again.
For example, earlier this week, the programs "Al Bokar" hosted by Noy Bar and "Haulpan Ha'Thut" hosted by Boaz Golan bypassed parallel broadcasts on Channel 12.
The "Patriots" program, which aired last Sunday, surpassed the equivalent program broadcast on Channel 12 by tens of thousands of viewers. According to official data from the ratings committee, the Patriots were watched by no less than 311,000 viewers, while the Channel 12 program was watched by 259,000 viewers.
