Rosenfeld appears for the first time in front of Shelly Tapiero's camera from Kan News, after long months of detention and interrogation, and recounts the reason why he handed over three classified documents to Eli Feldstein, the Prime Minister's Office spokesman for foreign media at the time.
In the film, Rosenfeld describes the secret meetings with Feldstein in the barracks. According to him, his goal was to alert the prime minister to critical security information that had not reached him from the military echelon.
But Feldstein, he claims, "betrayed him" and leaked a sensitive document to the German newspaper Bild - behind his back: "Feldstein sold me out, simply sold me out. I only realized this during the investigation.".
He describes how the investigators tried, he says, to extract a confession from him about systematic leaking from Unit 8200 to the Prime Minister's Office, in order to incriminate Netanyahu: "They wanted to prove that the Prime Minister was involved in order to bring about his impeachment.".
