The moving event was attended by the head of the Binyamin Council and the chairman of the Yesha Council, Yisrael Gantz, who accompanied the family over the past two years, and Yehudit Nitzan, the mother of Gilad Nitzan, who fell in the war in Gaza and who also lives in the settlement of Shilo.

Ditza Or, Avinan's mother, published a story last night, hours before the announcement of the agreement, in which she wrote: "How glorious upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who proclaims peace, who brings good tidings, who proclaims salvation.".
Or was kidnapped at the age of 30 from a party in Nuba Re'im, along with his partner Noa Argamani, who was later released in a military operation. After receiving the sign of life from him, Argamani wrote in an Instagram story: "Until Avinatan returns, my heart is captive.".
