Media personality Yinon Magal, host of the "Patriots" program on Channel 14, once again opened the channel's and its viewers' war against Bank Leumi.

In an angry message on his Twitter account, Magal wrote: "Just updating - Bank Leumi has raised millions in yet another campaign, and is still boycotting Channel 14.".

He added: "Apparently he doesn't consider the channel's viewers, and doesn't want them as customers. I left Bank Leumi a long time ago. Let them take all their money and you know what happens next... Hanan Friedman, the bank's CEO, you are a miserable soul.".

Following the campaign waged by Magal against the bank, due to the boycott of the right-wing channel, many viewers of Channel 14 transferred their accounts from the bank to other banks.

According to a report on the 'Ace' website, a class action lawsuit was filed in the Jerusalem District Court, estimated to cost hundreds of millions of shekels, against Bank Leumi and its executives. The lawsuit was filed after a warning was sent before filing a class action lawsuit, but the bank did not respond to the warning. The estimated amount comes from the following calculation: 1,000 shekels per viewer, and hundreds of thousands of viewers per channel.

The request was filed through Attorney Eitan Liraz and Yad Rotem of the Eitan Liraz & Co. law firm, against Bank Leumi, the bank's CEO, Hanan Friedman, and all the directors at the bank, for the claim that they chose to exclude Channel 14 viewers, supposedly, and not advertise on Channel 14.

A pre-trial was scheduled between the parties.
