Two Hasidim were brutally attacked on Saturday night by a large group as they walked along Eastern Parkway near Brooklyn Avenue on Saturday night - a short distance from the Chabad World Center at 770 in the Crown Heights neighborhood. This is reported by the website crownheights.info.
A neighbor, who heard screams from the street, looked out the window of her house and saw the brutal attack.
She immediately called members of the "Guardians" organization, who arrived at the scene within minutes and discovered blood on the sidewalk - without any victims.
One of the volunteer guards noticed that the blood trail led in the direction of the road to 770, where they located the victims, one of whom was treated by members of the Rescue.
The injured man was later taken to an area hospital for treatment - and released.
After Shabbat, the eyewitness told Shomerim that she heard screams from the street, and when she looked out the window, she saw a group of five people - three black men and two women - attacking the two Jews, one of whom was lying on the ground.
After the attack, the attacking group fled to New York Avenue.
It is unclear what circumstances led to the attack or whether a police report was filed.
