MDA volunteers managed to locate the remains of the body of the late Avraham Matzliach - the second Israeli killed in the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash last March in Ethiopia. Another Israeli was killed in the disaster - Shimon Ram, the late.

The remains of the late Ram were identified about a month ago and brought for burial.

Immediately after the plane crashed, the ZAKA organization sent a team of volunteers to the crash site in Ethiopia for many days, working Sisyphean labor and in difficult conditions, to locate and collect thousands of artifacts that were scattered over a large radius and in a crater dozens of meters deep, which was created as a result of the plane crashing at a speed of approximately 600 kilometers per hour.

The Chief Rabbi Yosef, who accompanied the entire identification process from a halakhic perspective, was informed of the good news.

"ZAKA volunteers made great efforts to locate remains at the scene of the plane crash. With the news that among the remains we collected, the remains of the body of Avraham Matzliach, z"l, were also located, in addition to the identification about a month ago of the remains of the body of Shimon Ram, z"l, we know that we have completed the task and thereby made it easier for the bereaved families," said ZAKA Chairman Yehuda Meshi-Zahav.

Meshi Zahav added: "When we set out on the mission, we promised not to rest or be silent until we brought the bodies of the two late Israelis to eternal rest and the Jewish grave, and with great heavenly support we fulfilled our sacred mission despite the great distance and the almost impossible difficult conditions.".

'"Congratulations to the ZAKA volunteers who once again demonstrated operational capability, determination and dedication for the honor of the deceased. Thanks and praise to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the team of people from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Security Council, who worked tirelessly and used all their abilities to reach this moment. Without you, this would not have been possible.",

Funeral details will follow.
