Construction and Housing Minister Haim Katz decided today (Thursday) to dismiss Chief of Staff Motti Babchik from his position, shortly after it was announced that he had publicly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Babchik responded to his dismissal: "No one can silence the truth. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should only make allegations against the Ahithophel advisors who explained to him how to deceive the great men of Israel and lie to his loyal coalition partners who went with the Likud through thick and thin and received ungrateful treatment in return.".
""The support of the Haredi parties has been given in the past and will be given in the future, only to those who know how to act in true partnership to preserve the world of Torah and the values of Judaism and the tradition of Israel. Moti Babchik will continue to manage the office of the chairman of United Torah and Shabbat Judaism, Knesset Member Rabbi Yitzhak Goldknopf, and will continue the necessary activities to ensure that in the State of Israel, Torah students do not become criminals, while violating their basic rights.".
In an interview with the newspaper 'Mishpacha' published this morning, he pointed an accusing finger at Netanyahu as responsible for the failure to uphold the agreements with the haredi parties and for the resulting political crisis.
