A one and a half year old toddler was severely burned this evening (Saturday night) with boiling water in his home in Haifa.
The rescue forces that were called to the family home provided him with initial medical assistance, and he was evacuated in serious condition for further treatment at Rambam Hospital in the city.
Yitzhak Sheinberger, a United Hatzalah medic: "Family members said that he turned on a faucet with boiling water.
""I provided him with initial medical aid and then he was taken to Rambam Hospital, where his condition is classified as serious, for further medical treatment."
MDA paramedic Tawfiq Shach Ahmed and senior MDA medic Jihad Khatib said: "The baby was conscious and suffered severe second- and third-degree burns on approximately 50% of his body after being burned by boiling water. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in stable condition.".
