'The 'Tikva Forum' of abductees' families attacked Judge Yitzhak Amit today (Tuesday), following his question to Talik Gwili, the mother of IS fighter Ran Gwili, whose body is being held in Gaza, during the High Court hearing on the appointment of David Zini as head of the Shin Bet.
""We were shocked to hear that Judge Yitzhak Amit, the 'President' of the Supreme Court - who was not legally elected to the position - asks Talic Gwili, the mother of Police Sergeant Rani Gwili, an Israeli hero who saved many Israelis on 07/10 - 'Who are you?'"'
""Is there a more shameful question than this? To ask 'who are you' a mother who struggles every day to bring her son home? And all this in a discussion that concerns the High Court's blatant attempt to interfere in the important appointment of David Zini as head of the Shin Bet, an intervention that harms efforts to bring our loved ones home," they said in the forum.
""We support Taliq Gwilyi, a lioness mother who did not rest to bring her son and all the kidnapped children home.".
""And we ask Yitzhak Amit - who are you that wouldn't let the mother of a kidnapped person speak? Who are you that would harm the heart of democracy and freedom of expression? Who are you?!""
It should be noted that initially Judge Amit ordered the abductee's mother to be removed, but in the end she remained in the courtroom, but was asked "not to disturb.".
