Home Front Command teams today (Thursday) located the tefillin of Michael (Miki) Nahum, who was murdered earlier this week by an Iranian missile that hit his residential building in the city of Bat Yam.

Bat Yam Mayor Zvika Brut spoke with Nachum's daughters and informed them that the tefillin were found intact. "There are some tears on the bag," he wrote, "but the tefillin are intact, and they will be able to strengthen the girls at such a difficult time.".

The mayor thanked the Home Front Command forces operating at the scene: "Thank you to the men and women of the Home Front Command's national rescue unit who are doing everything they can to save what is possible from the rubble and to honor the memory of the murdered.".

Nahum Yad, 61, father of four, a longtime resident of the city, is one of nine Bat Yam residents who were murdered in the fatal incident.

Eight additional people were murdered at the scene by the missile: Meir (Miro) Vaknin, 56, a resident of the city, married and father of three, Bella Ashkenazi, 94, and the late Efrat Saranga, 44.

In addition, five members of the Pashkurova family from Odessa, who had come to Israel for medical treatment for their daughter, were murdered.
