The findings illustrate the importance of the consumer comparing prices between chains before purchasing the family basket, as part of the need to control price increases and choose to purchase at the cheapest price. The data was obtained from the transmission of actual sales data in chains and sub-chains that are transmitted to the Prices website and include promotions (excluding credit promotions), which change from time to time, and the prices are correct as of the date of the test shown.
The test was conducted about a week before Shavuot, when most of the products in the basket contain cheeses and various dairy and baked goods. The test was conducted on May 21, 2025.
