According to Palestinian reports, IDF forces are operating near the European Hospital in Khan Yunis - the place where the leader of Hamas' military wing, Muhammad Sinwar, was assassinated about two weeks ago.
It was also reported that the forces are conducting excavations at the site.

This is an area where the IDF has not operated on the ground so far.
The security establishment confirmed last Wednesday that Sinwar was killed.
According to a report by Channel 14's military correspondent, Hillel Biton Rosen, along with him, Muhammad Shabna, commander of the Rafah Brigade, battalion commander, and 10 other terrorists - including company commanders in the terrorist organization - were also eliminated in the tunnel.
Most of the murderers were eliminated when IAF aircraft attacked an underground Hamas compound built under the European Hospital in Khan Yunis.
