According to a report by Yasmin Guetta in The Marker, the deal - which was closed for approximately 4 million shekels - was signed as part of a compromise agreement that was recently approved by the Second Authority, putting an end to the dispute between the parties.
The minority group included Eli Falai, owner of the newspaper 'Mishpacha', media figure Yossi Elitov, media figure Ido Mor and the 'Osher Ad' network.
The minority group entered into a partnership with Mirilashvili in 2020 after merging their bid in the second authority’s tender with Mirilashvili’s bid. However, a conflict between the parties soon began – which reached the court, when
The minority group claimed that Mirilshvili acted to empty the partnership of its content. On the other hand, the Mirilshvili group claimed that the other side actually tried to torpedo the agreement and boycotted meetings.
After lengthy negotiations, the parties reached an agreement according to which the Mirilashvili Group would purchase the shares of the minority group.
In a joint response, The Marker was told that the move was made "by agreement and in good faith.".
