MK Tali Gottlieb of the Likud caused a stir today (Monday) after making an unusual statement about the hostages who were released from the Gaza Strip.

In an interview with Knesset Channel, Gottlieb said: "Every abductee returns brainwashed by Hamas. They speak what Hamas tells them to.".

Presenter Avi Blum responded in astonishment: "They're dating with Stockholm Syndrome? These are serious things.".
Gottlieb replied that she does not blame the hostages for their statements, because they are repeating the messages of the terrorist organization. "I don't want to, out of respect for their dignity, my heart goes out to them after they went through these abuses, I don't say a word about the hostages who left Gaza.".
According to her, "I'm not making anything up here. Not only are they brainwashed, I have no other explanation for the delusional statements like 'Netanyahu doesn't want to release the kidnapped.".
Her words caused a stir on social media.
