According to a report in Kan News, as part of the new raid, a skeletal remains, apparently of a one-year-old baby, were found buried in a box. A Nicaraguan citizen was arrested.

The US Embassy in Guatemala tweeted a thank you to the local government for its help: "The safety of US citizens is our top priority.".

Last February, the International Department of the State Attorney's Office submitted a request to the authorities in El Salvador for the extradition of Eliezer Rumpler, one of the leaders of the Lev Tahor sect. This followed the raid on the sect in Guatemala, which took place in December 2024, when more than 160 children and teenagers were rescued from there.

Rumpler, one of the leaders of the cult, was arrested in El Salvador last January - at the request of Israel. Rumpler was indicted in Israel in May 2020, for physical and mental abuse and assault on two minors by a person in charge - but he fled Israel.
