An unusual incident during IDF operational activity in the Gaza Strip: An Israeli contractor of Bedouin origin, who was approved for operation by the Shin Bet and the Ministry of Defense, was caught red-handed today (Thursday) in the Gaza Strip - after allegedly stealing a mag from one of the military vehicles operating in the Gaza Strip.

The suspect was detained for questioning immediately after being captured.

An initial investigation shows that the worker asked the foreman to stop the work for a moment and go fill up with diesel fuel. The request raised suspicion among the forces, and they followed him. After a few minutes, they noticed the suspect stealing a mag from one of the tools and throwing it into the bushes.

The contractor employee, who has permission from the Ministry of Defense to work with IDF forces, was immediately arrested.

It is now being examined whether the arrested suspect had any previous security offenses.

According to a report by the Torat Lahima organization, upon capturing the suspect, the fighters also arrested the other members of the contracting team to which he belonged, all of whom had security clearance to operate in the combat zone.

During a telephone check carried out at the scene, sensitive images of tanks, military posts, IDF officers, and locations of defense positions were found on their devices.

The incident raises serious concerns due to the fear of using the information to harm IDF forces or transferring it to hostile elements.

At this stage, the entire issue is under in-depth examination by the relevant parties.

The IDF has not yet responded.
